
Ukraine and Moldova hold a regular round of consultations on the framework of legal agreements regarding conditions of exploitation of hydropower generating units of Dniester PSP
Chisinau hosted
a regular round of consultations co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy and
Coal Industry of Ukraine on European Integration Natalia Boyko
and Deputy Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova Vitalie Iurcu. The parties
focused on considering a framework of legal agreements regarding conditions of
exploitation of hydropower
generating units of Dniester Pump
Storage Plant.
During the
consultations, Deputy Ministers of both states expressed their positions and
reached a consensus on a number of issues regarding the main provisions of the
Agreement on ensuring the functioning of integrated hydropower generating units
of the Dniester Pump Storage Plant to be concluded between the Governments of
Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
On the outcomes of the talks, the parties outlined the necessary steps to ensure early determination of conditions of operation of the Dniester PSP hydropower units and signing of the aforesaid Agreement.
