Anti-corruption integrity training course kicks off in National Defence Academy

The National Ivan Cherniakhovskyi Defence Academy hosts three-day building integrity and corruption risks reduction course.

The course consists of lectures and practical exercises in participation of the University experts, representatives of National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, General Prosecutor Office of Ukraine, Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and Deputy Director Internal Audit Department of the UK Ministry of Defence. Corruption exists everywhere. But the most important thing is how this problem is solved. Corruption causes drastic losses all these resources could be spent on weapons and equipment for military in the east of Ukraine”, representative of the United Kingdom said.

“This course is very useful for MoD leaders to increase their knowledge concerning building integrity and corruption risks reduction”, Chief of Scientific Centre of Corruption Prevention in Security and Defence Sector of National Defence University Col. Olena Holota remarked.

This centre was established in 2014 and was supported by the United Kingdom. Its experts provide explanatory consultations, scientific studies and research, participate in international events. Due to experts work, the Anti-corruption program of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is amended.
