Ukraine and Canada have huge potential for cooperation, inter alia in renewable energy sector. Chairman of State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Sergiy Savchuk was able to ascertain that at Toronto Global Forum in Canada, where Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman delivered the speech.

According to the Prime Minister, Canada is one of the most priority partner countries for Ukraine. Particular attention will be paid to the opportunities for Canadian businessmen to participate in joint investment projects.

In turn, the Chairman of the SAEE is convinced that Canada's experience in renewable energy will be of utmost importance for Ukraine.

«Ukraine favors attracting Canada's technologies and investments into renewable energy projects. We have drafted a favorable legislative basis, eliminated a number of regulatory barriers and introduced an attractive "green" tariff. There is a significant untapped resource base in the region and mayors pleade readiness to implement reforms in favor of citizens», underscored Sergiy Savchuk.
