The development of
an enabling business environment, elimination of an unrelenting pressure on business,
enhancement of the economy and
achievement of the GDP growth at the level of 5-7% in 2-3 years are the key
goals for the Government. This was
stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman at a session of
the Cabinet of Ministers on
Wednesday, October 25.
The Prime Minister
stressed that a strong economy would resolve another
- equally important issue - the well-being of citizens
and the strengthening
of Ukraine's position on the
international arena.
«The economy is
showing the resilience. We are
planning 3% growth for the next
year, the said increase envisages
creation of new jobs and
increase in wages. We face
two challenges: to improve well-being of citizens
and to ensure
the state is taking a worthy
place in Europe and in
the world», the Head of
Government emphasized. «This can be
accomplished on the condition of
strengthening the economy, and we
can become the most dynamic
economy on the continent. The growth should
be at the
level of 5-7%. We can do
this».
In this regard,
the Prime Minister recalled that among the
steps towards achieving the goal
are improvement of the business
climate, simplification of permit procedures and introduction of reasonable
regulation.
«At the moment, entrepreneurs complain about the pressure of
the law enforcement
system. In different regions in different ways,
but everyone can be blamed
for ineffective work and disrespect
for business. I want to express
gratitude to the Minister of
Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the
Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the
leadership of the State Fiscal
Service of Ukraine for adopting
decisions aimed to prohibit the
«mask shows» against entrepreneurs. The epidemic of pressure
on business should be stopped.
It will be
a base point on which we
will focus. Business owners and active people
create a national product. I am as Prime Minister will defend the rights
of honest business in Ukraine»,
he claimed.
The Prime Minister
drew attention to the fact
that the Government in synergy with
the President and the
Parliament will prepare and
approve a number of decisions on
deregulation including those that will
enable Ukraine to enter the
top 50 in the Doing Business
rankings of the World Bank
next year.
«We have
moved up to 76th position in World Bank's
ease of Doing
Business ranking. But this is
not enough. We are in
synergy with the President of
Ukraine and with the Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine
working out comprehensive solutions in order to
ensure the issues of deregulation
be a priority», Volodymyr Groysman underlined.
