The medical reform approved by the Parliament
envisages the change of a principle of financing the system and 100%
compensation from the state budget of the cost of healthcare services. Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced on air of 112.UA TV channel.
"We will defray all the services at 100%.
We have budgeted an increase (for the sector in 2018)
of more than UAH 10 billion. That's a sufficient amount (to bring about transformations),"
stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
He added that one shouldn’t whip up myths and nonsense
about the medical reform. Instead, it’s crucial to develop synergy aimed at
consistent introduction of changes called to reshape the healthcare system into
a benevolent for both patient and physician sector.
Along with the reform, Volodymyr Groysman assured,
there will be continued the Available Medicines program and the program for the
construction of cardiac centers and perinatal centers, in particular in Lviv and Chernivtsi. As a
separate issue the Gov’t will focus on a solution to
help families with children having severe illnesses.
