Relations between Ukraine and Moldova
demonstrate good and positive dynamics that is why both countries must shape
their present and future basing on development of the inherent capabilities.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during Moldova Business Week
2017 Forum. The event is taking place in the capital of Moldova – Chișinău, where the Head of Government of Ukraine stays with a working visit
today, October 6. The forum is held with the participation of Prime Minister of
Moldova Pavel Filip.
The Head of Government of Ukraine stressed
that it was a great honor for him to visit Moldova, to acknowledge the growth
of mutual trade by more than 30% and to offer new opportunities for cooperation.
Volodymyr Groysman highlighted that both countries fulfill a large amount of
tasks, before everything else within the framework of integration with the EU.
It is about harmonization of national legislation and simplifying conditions
for doing small and medium-sized businesses, improving the investment climate,
rehabilitating the financial and banking system, ensuring transparency of
public procurement and tenders, developing new modern sectors of the economy
and increasing added value in traditional sectors.
“In unity lies our
strength,” said Volodymyr Groysman. “Ukraine has moved on to the stage of
development, we demonstrate economic growth, understand the lines of
development. All sectors of the economy are showing positive trend.”
He noted that the chosen path to overhaul the
country yeilds its result. Ukraine is changing,
introducing new solutions, implementing large-scale reforms. “We are on the
verge of large-scale decisions. And I would like to urge us to plan our present
and future basing on inherent capabilities of our countries. Ukraine is a
friend of Moldova. Our common future is in a large European family,” the Head
of Government of Ukraine said.
In turn, the Head of the Government of Moldova
emphasized that the dialogue between the countries is at a high level and
Ukraine remains among a particularly important trade partners for Moldova.
"Our countries are developing projects within the scope of the partnership
and are exerting every effort to eliminate the obstacles," said Pavel Filip.
During the talks, the participants of the
forum raised a number of issues of mutual cooperation, in particular in the
environmental, energy and transport spheres. In this context, Volodymyr Groysman stressed that
Kyiv and Chișinău are working on the liberalization of air and land communications
between Ukraine and Moldova. The work on introducing joint control at the
Ukraine – Moldova border crossing points at the border is underway.
