The beginning and smooth operation of all the systems during the upcoming heating season is a direct and complete responsibility of local authorities since all the necessary decisions have been approved by the Government. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

"Responsibility for the heating season is borne by the local authorities. We have accumulated sufficient supplies, primarily of gas. The price for gas remains unchanged, there are no problems or unsettled issues on the part of Government. The question is whether everyone on the ground has completed all the preparation activities," the Head of Government urged.

He added that currently the readiness for the heating season is almost 100% throughout Ukraine. "And this is a good indicator, probably, in the history since our independence. The question of the timeliness and quality of heat is the full responsibility of the local authorities, "said Volodymyr Groysman.

He added that current readiness performance throughout Ukraine makes up almost 100%. "And this is a good indicator, probably, over the entire history of our independence. Issues of timing and quality of provision of heating services is within the full responsibility of local governments," stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

In addition, he drew attention to the fact that apart from providing heat and electricity, the local authorities should ensure availability of special equipment in case of snowfalls so that to avoid unpleasant surprises.
