Our common
objective of the Government and the Parliament this plenary week is to adopt
the necessary decisions, establish a fair system and abandon the dependence of
pensioners on political decisions. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
wrote in Facebook.
"Another
plenary week has commenced and the country expects this week a decision on a
major pension reform be made. This means an increase in pensions for about 9
million retirees this year. This means an automatic annual recalculation of pensions
in compliance with inflation rate and wage growth. This is an opportunity to
raise superannuation in the future, due to the elimination of the Pension
Fund's deficit," the Head of Government noted.
He urged MPs to endorse
vital decisions. "For my part, I appeal to members of the Parliament to trigger
the process of improvement of pension benefits for our seniors already in
October. Our joint responsibility with Parliament this week is to establish a
fair system and put an end to the dependence of pensioners on political
decisions," the Prime Minister accentuated.
