Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman initiates the activities of the Antimonopoly Committee to be reviewed through the failure of tenders announced by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine on the purchase of Customs scanner. The Head of Government was quoted as saying during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

“The Ukrainian SFS issued a request for tender for the purchase of scanners. We must install those in all checkpoints to detect what kind of goods are transported through the country’s border. However, the Antimonopoly Committee has abolished this tender,” the Head of Government stressed, “This is a crime against the state, against revenues to the state budget. This is a crime to cover up for smuggling. I am going to pick away at this problem, and if I see a plot - and the rumor spreads all along the country that the AMCU has become the second tendering chamber in Ukraine, I will raise an issue of dismissal of the AMCU head. It is vital to bring order in procurement. We have launched the ProZorro system, it is efficient, but they are creating a Tender Chamber copy. I will ask for support, it is vital to get rid of this evil once and for all."
