Among the pillars
of the draft 2018 national budget are the economic upswing, building of
productive capacities, creating workplaces and wage increases, Prime Minister
of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman was quoted as saying during the Government
sitting.
The draft document
has already been presented to the society, posted on the website of the
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and is undergoing a broad discussion among experts.
The Prime
Minister reminded that for the second consecutive year the Government had timely
submitted the draft budget that contains distinct priorities for funding.
"The budget for next year we call the budget of economic growth. We project
a 3 percent growth rate. This means that we will produce more,
we anticipate an increase in the number of jobs, an increase in wages. The
ideology remains unchanged – everything the economy earns is to be directed to
solving urgent problems. The emphasis was put on energy, education,
infrastructure, the provision of the army, financing culture, etc.," the
Head of Government told.
He added that the macroeconomic growth rate could be improved. "Economic growth performance can be reinforced. This requires clear priorities to support real sector," explained Volodymyr Groysman.
