Service personnel of the 18th detached helicopter unit of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo fulfil tasks assigned.

The total flight time of the Ukrainian pilots exceeds 2,000 hours.

“Over the past two-three months we have had a lot of work in the southern part of the country where one of aviation groups of the Ukrainian national contingent is deployed. We airlift the UN Mission personnel and goods and equipment, and execute redeployment of troops,” Deputy Commander LTC Yevhen Vakulenko said.

According to Unit Commander Col. Yurii Verbelchuk, the leaders of UN mission have sent a letter of gratitude to Ukraine to thank for combat readiness of the unit and professionalism of the Ukrainian team.
