Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak held talks with Senior Adviser Jill Sinclair (Canada). The parties discussed the reforms of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry and further cooperation between Ukraine and Canada.

The Defence Minister stressed that all initiated reforms were implemented as scheduled. “Currently, we are developing the infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Gen. Poltorak said. “Financial reform will also allow us to raise the interest of people to military service.”

Stepan Poltorak thanked Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Mr Roman Waschuk for the assistance provided by Canada for the construction of the Law Enforcement Training Centre in Lviv. Jill Sinclair underscored that Canada supported Ukraine and welcomes Ukraine’s efforts to approach NATO.
