Prime Minister: The budget for road construction activities this year makes up UAH 30 billion, the next year the expenses are planned to increase up to UAH 40 billion
The amount of
funding available this year to be applied for road construction activities is
about UAH 30 billion. Next year this volume will soar up to UAH 40 billion. Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced while visiting the
construction site on the highway H-01 Kyiv - Znamyanka
in Kyiv region. Work on this road section began in 2015 and now sees its final
stage. According to the Head of Government, the road appears one of the flagship
models of work performed on the one hand, and, on the other, of organization of
financing the project. International partners participate in construction, while
control of the use of funds allowed the country to save a considerable resource.
it was here when I promised to start the country's major repairs. All roads must
look like this one", the Head of Government urged. "My objective is to
build roads but not to waste money, and this year we have the sum worth UAH 30
billion available. "Next year the scope of
construction will expand, and the budget will grow up to UAH 40 billion."
The Head of
Government explained that among the sources of funding would be those of the
Road Fund, a resource from decentralization and money obtained as a result of overfulfillment the plan on customs revenues.
"Construction of roads, their quality remains our top priority", said Volodymyr Groysman.
