The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Social Policy, Employment and Pension Provision approved the Draft Law No. 6614 on the Pension Reform before the second reading in Parliament.
Five of the seven members of the Committee voted for the decision. It is based on the Government's propositions.
Among other things, this bill envisages the modernization of pensions from October this year.
The required minimum seniority age remains unchanged – it is 15 years.
Moreover, at the proposal of the Ministry of Social Policy, women who were on childcare leave for six years, will have all these years taken into account in the seniority age.
Apart from that, a pension scheme for the military is being drafted.
