The Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine within the framework of
the education reform embarks on a program of
reequippment of the first and
fourth grades with modern means
of educational process, allocates 1 billion hryvnias for these purposes, and also plans
the further increase of teacher’s wages in
the draft state budget for
2018. This was stated by Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
«We are planning the sum
worth UAH 1 billion to modernize programs
of the first
and fourth grades in the
draft state budget. We need
high quality information products. We are currently
cooperating with several
countries in order to purchase
the necessary information product adapted to the
Ukrainian education system», the Prime
Minister emphasized.
He explained that
the modernization program is aimed
at providing children with interactive
learning and communication tools. «Interactive blackboards, tablets, all the
necessary components for modern learning
- this is our task. Starting
next year, I believe that the Ukrainian
school should become digital. Technologies need to be
introduced into the training process.
We have wonderful
children, teachers, we have the
opportunity to make our country
successful. Because of the high
quality of knowledge, access to education, every
child can express the individuality
and find a place in life»,
Volodymyr Groysman noted.
On September 1, the
Prime Minister together with the
Head of Kyiv
City State Administration Vitali Klitschko opened one of the
Kyiv schools, which for many
years was considered a long-term construction. In 2016, the authorities found funds for
the restoration and renovation of an educational
institution. The school is established
as an educational
complex: it has a kindergarten and a gymnasium.
«This school
is equipped in the way
that each Ukrainian school should be equipped.
We have shaped
and launched a new elementary school education program with all
the necessary modern equipment, so that the
children can study and become
successful», the Head of Government
emphasized.
The Prime Minister
and the Head of
Kyiv CSA congratulated pupils on the
Day of Knowledge
and gave the first lesson
to high school
seniors.
Background
According to the Ministry of Education
and Science of Ukraine, this
year more than 20 new schools
should be opened in Ukraine
where more than 6 thousand students will be
studying. The record holder of
the construction of schools is
Lviv region, where almost 1.5 thousand children will be able
to study in 8 new schools.
As for today,
two new schools
were opened for 1380 students in Kyiv.
