There are no reasons to raise gas prices for the population, claimed
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in the course of the special teleconference, which
is underway in Mykolaiv and dedicated to the
preparation for upcoming the autumn-winter period 2017/2018.
«There won’t be an increase in price for natural gas for the population
by the government’s decision», Volodymyr Groysman accentuated.
He stressed that the issue on funding of subsidies in the next heating season
has been resolved due to the adoption of amendments to the state budget and to
the allocation of UAH 14.1 billion for these purposes. At present, according to
the Prime Minister, the work is being carried out on verification of
calculations and by September funding will be granted to the fullest extent.
"It is of paramount importance to organize an efficient work on the ground
in order to provide sustainable protection to the most vulnerable populations»,
the Head of Government urged.
Moreover, he placed a special emphasis on the importance of
implementation of energy efficiency projects.
