The Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine, in the
framework of the implementation of the program
Available Medicine which was launched
in April, intends to constantly
expand the nomenclature of medicines included in the program
and for these
purposes all necessary financial resources are included
in the state
budget. This was announced by
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman in the course of
the conversation with journalists in Kherson.
«The program
(Available Medicines) is efficient, we possess
sufficient resources
to ensure the provision of
free medicines to patients with
chronic diseases. It is of
fundamental importance for us to
give people the opportunity to receive for
free medicines that are indispensable
to life. We are committed
to extend the program and
include a wider range of medicines.
The main thing is to
preserve the life and health
of citizens and we will
invest in it», the Prime
Minister underlined.
The Available Medicine
program provides for free medicines
or the reimbursement
of part of
the cost of drugs to
cure cardiovascular disease, asthma and diabetes. At
present, over 3.5 million people have already seized
the opportunity of the said
program.
The Head of
Government recalled that apart from
the Available Medicine program, the Government launched a project designed to establish
cardiac centers throughout the country that will
be able to
provide high-tech assistance in cardiovascular
diseases.
