"Germany is interested in the success of reforms in Ukraine and my appointment as Special Envoy of the Government of Germany is a concrete manifestation of such interest" - said the Special Envoy of the Government of Germany on reforming Ukraine in the spheres of governance and decentralization Georg Milbradt during a meeting with Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.

The Minister stressed that the appointment of Milbradt is the result of close and trustful cooperation between Ukraine and Germany and an important step of G7 to support reforms in Ukraine. He also assured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will provide every possible assistance to the German expert in fulfilling the tasks.

During the meeting the modalities of the mandate of the German Government's representative and his vision of the prospects of reformist activity in the spheres of decentralization and public service were discussed. The Minister expressed confidence that Dr. Milbradt’s extensive experience and his willingness to work hard in Ukraine will be the basis of his successful and efficient work in our country.
