  • Government gives green light to the Fourth-Generation Mobile Communication System in Ukraine

    The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, at its meeting on August 9, approved the decision on the launch of the sale of licenses of Fourth-Generation Mobile Communication System (4G). While introducing the corresponding decree, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stressed that this is another step towards the economic strengthening of Ukraine and the development of the telecommunication industry will be an additional driver of economic growth.

    The Prime Minister emphasized that the competition for the sale of licenses will be transparent to the greatest possible extent and its results eventually will bring new technologies to the state, to the budget - additional revenues.

     «We expect the public sale enables us to increase the flow of funds in the state budget, but the most important to modern infrastructure, which will develop the national economy», Volodymyr Groysman stressed.

    In turn, Stepan Kubiv, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine underlined that the introduction of 4G communications in Ukraine is of utmost importance, because our state in this aspect lags behind the leading countries of the world. The adoption of government’s decisions is a long-felt need. "The introduction of the 4G will allow to expand the possibilities both of the state and business in different areas, to achieve GDP growth and to create new jobs”, underscored Stepan Kubiv.
