On August 2, 2017, the leadership of the State Service of Ukraine On Food Safety and Consumer Protection held a meeting with representatives of the Indian Oilseeds & Produce Exporters Association. In the course of the meeting the parties touched upon issues pertaining to the export of sunflower and sunflower oil to India.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the top 10 Indian companies, which emphasized that Ukrainian food products are of high quality. The interlocutors discussed the processes of state control over food quality and food safety in Ukraine and the specific traits of exports to the Republic of India.They also expressed an interest in increasing export volumes to India.
In this context, representatives of the State Service of Ukraine On Food Safety and Consumer Protection recalled that 33% of Ukrainian sunflower oil supplies to India.
