Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration: Ukraine increased the export of agricultural products to the EU countries by 31.4%
In January-June 2017, there was an increase in exports of Ukrainian
goods to the European Union countries by 31.4% or by $ 663.4 million, compared
with the same period in 2016, and its amount was 2 billion 774 million dollars.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European
Integration Olga Trofimtseva.
"As for today, the EU countries are in the second place in the
regional structure of our agrarian export. According to the figures of the
first half of 2017, their share was 34.9%. The overall foreign trade turnover
between Ukraine and the European Union also grew by 24.1%, or by 739.3 million
dollar, compared to the same period in 2016 and its amount was 3 million 802 thousand
dollars. This is a tangible result of the FTA between Ukraine and the EU
", Olga Trofimtseva stressed.
According to the Deputy Minister,
in comparison with the corresponding period in 2016, for the six months of the
current year, volumes of delivery of
agricultural products to the European markets were increased, inter alia: corn
- by 344.1 million dollars (by 54.3%), soybeans – by $ 98.1 million US
(increased in 3 times), sunflower oil – by $ 36.4 million, meat - by $ 27.8
million ( 94,4%), margarine products – by $ 18.7 million USA (in 13 times),
malt extract, flour products and grits- by 12.2 million dollars), barley - by $
9.1 million (in 2.6 times),bakery, confectionery products - by 9.1 million
dollars (by 97.5%), fruits and nuts raw or by - $ 8 million ( by 70.7%) as well
as honey - by USD 6.9 million(by 30.6%).
