Congratulation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on the Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Dear colleagues!

On behalf of the Government and me personally, I congratulate all seamen and soldiers of naval aviation, marines, coastal artillery, special purpose, civilian workers and veterans of the naval forces on your professional holiday - the Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the early days of the independence of Ukraine, our naval forces have fulfilled their professional duty with dignity - protected the high seas and the coastal line of our country. The important experience having gained throughout a quarter of the century, from year to year is passed to younger generations - sailors, junior and senior officers. Today, the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a significant component of defending our state from the sea, a key to the territorial integrity and independence of the Motherland.

From the first days of Russian terrorist aggression, Ukrainian military sailors are actively involved in the combat missions in the area of the anti-terror operation, demonstrating valour, courage, patriotism and high training quality.

Nowadays, the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is subjected to active modernizing by improving the logistics, management and efficiency of operation of all units, gradual introducing NATO's high standards for training of servicemen. I believe that these components form a solid foundation for the shaping of a new generation of Ukrainian Naval Forces.

I wish all the sailors, servicemen, civilian workers and veterans of the Navy sound health, well-being, harmony, peaceful sky above our country and our sea!
