Offered by the Government changes to the state budget and increased financing of the most important social and defense programs to the tune of UAH 26 billion are the results of the Government's systematic steps towards strengthening the economy. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Amendments to the budget had been shaped in the draft law that the MPs managed to vote yesterday, June 22, only in the first reading.

"I want to thank all MPs who supported the changes to the budget. This decision was important to be adopted yesterday as a whole. Hence now, for three weeks we have delayed funding for all urgent issues”, the Head of Government said. “That one (draft law) contained such issues as subsidies, financing roads, treatment abroad for the people who are waiting for this decision every day. It also had salary for miners, finance for the purchase of personal protective equipment. There were a lot of things much awaited for by people".

At the same time, according to the Prime Minister, the Government's economic policy will be continued. "We have obtained funds from the growth of the economy, and the beginning of growth is the result of systematic steps of both the previous Government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk and our Government. Now the task is to accelerate this growth”, said Volodymyr Groysman. “De-shadowing and growth have enabled us to overfulfill the plan by over UAH 26 billion for 5 months. Aftermath, the reforms that would lead to stabilization and growth in the future. "
