In the framework of the working visit to France, Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak held talks with Minister of Defence the French Republic Ms Sylvie Goulard.

The parties discussed security situation in Ukraine, as well as development of defence cooperation between Ukraine and France.

Gen. Poltorak invited Ms Goulard to visit Ukraine, “Cooperation, especially defence cooperation, between our countries is very important.”

The minister of defence of Ukraine underscored the importance of Ukraine’s integration to NATO through exercise and training and defence industry cooperation.

Ms Goulard reaffirmed readiness of the Ukrainian party to develop cooperation and discuss prospects of cooperation.

“We definitely support Ukraine, your heroic soldiers are fighting for your independence in the 21st century,” stressed Sylvie Goulard.
