  • First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine: Poland is our strategic partner

    Poland is our strategic partner, stressed First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mr Ivan Rusnak during a meeting with Deputy Minister of Defence of National Defence of the Republic of Poland Mr Michal Dworczyk.

    Mr Rusnak spoke about situation in east of Ukraine and stressed the Russian occupational troops kept on violating the Minsk agreements. He also thanked Poland for assistance.

    Mr Michal Dworczyk underscored that Poland was the first European country which recognized independence of Ukraine.

    “Ukraine was and will be our strategic partner. We do not recognize occupation of your territories by Russia and sanctions will remain until Crimea and Donbas are returned to you,” said he.

    The parties discussed development of the Ukrainian-Polish cultural relations, as well as focused on issue of participation of a Polish unit in military parade dedicated to the 26th Anniversary of Independence of Ukraine.
