  • Prime Minister thanked MPs for adoption of breakthrough laws on energy efficiency as well as on healthcare reform

    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expressed appreciation to MPs for decisive voting on a package of crucial bills, including those related to energy efficiency and health care reform. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Friday.

    Bills were included in the agenda of the current session and were adopted this week.

    «I would like to express gratitude for support of difficult and landmark decisions - the draft law on energy efficiency and the health care reform. It is of paramount importance to uphold important decisions aimed to change lives of our citizens for the better», said the Prime Minister.

    He put an emphasis to the fact that there are existing different political forces in Ukraine – some are working in favor of the state, others are struggling for power and own rating. «The more successful transformations are taking place, the smaller space for populism and political speculation will be left», assured Volodymyr Groysman.

    «Our core objectives include: to develop the economy, to improve social standards, to raise pensions», stressed the Prime Minister. He highlighted that this summer he counts on Parliament to adopt an offered by the Government draft pension reform which will allow to increase retirement payments starting already from 1 October to 9 million pensioners.

    «It is essential to be guided by the principle: the sooner we will be able to bring about a better standard of living for our people, the better off we'll be», stressed Volodymyr Groysman, while appealing to MPs.
