Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Minister of Defense of Israel Avigdor Lieberman during a meeting in Jerusalem discussed the ways of strengthening cooperation in military-technical sphere.
"Ukraine is interested in developing mutually beneficial partnership with Israel in military-technical sector", said the Head of Ukrainian Government in the beginning of the meeting.
Prime Minister of Ukraine briefed the Israeli side on the situation in Donbas, in particular recent shooting by Russian-backed militants of Avdiyivka which had resulted into killing civilians. Attacks by militants in Donbas never stop, stressed Volodymyr Groysman and accentuated that the settlement of the situation in Donbas is viewed possible only through abiding by the Russian side by the Minsk agreements.
The democratic
world must demonstrate continued solidarity to respond to the Russian hybrid war, Volodymyr Groysman said and urged the Israeli
Government to provide certain assistance to Ukraine needed to satisfy the needs
of the domestic security and defense sector.
Ukraine
also hopes Israel will demonstrate a strong stand regarding non-recognition of
illegal annexation of Crimea and supporting of the territorial integrity of
Ukraine, said the Head of Government.
Separately,
he expressed an interest of Ukraine in sharing by Israel of experience in the
treatment and rehabilitation of combatants.
