Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan
Kubiv has attended the High-Level Dialogue Belt and
Road Forum for International Cooperation hosted by the People’s Republic of
China in Beijing.
While delivering his speech, Stepan Kubiv noted that Ukraine plays an extremely important role
in developing trade relations between Asia and Europe.
“Routes from the East to the West
and from the North to the South pass through Ukraine, thus makes the country an
important geographical and geo-economical partner of the global project “One
Belt, One Road”. The factor of interdependence and complementarity of the
economies of international partners which was designed to ensure fruitful
collaboration between states and forms the concept of this important project,”
accentuated the First Vice Prime Minister.
Moreover, he also stressed that participation of Ukraine in the
aforesaid project will boost trade with all foreign partners countries,
stimulate bilateral investment flows as well as contribute to integrated and
sustainable developing of economies.
“It would open up opportunities to increase economic and technical
cooperation and to unlock potential in the field of trade and investment, to
create environment for inclusive and sustainable development in three
dimensions - economic, social and environmental in a balanced and comprehensive
way”, said Stepan Kubiv in
his statement.
