The Ukrainian Government plans to increase funding for the government program Available Medicines, which was launched on April 1 and provides for the provision of free medicines to patients with diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular diseases, by the sum worth UAH 250 million. While presenting the decision, Head of Government Volodymyr Groysman noted that this would cover for financial expenses until the end of year. The relevant proposals of amendments to the state budget will be submitted shortly to the Verkhovna Rada.

"The amendments to the budget that we are to table shortly to the Parliament envisage an increase in funding for the program plus UAH 250 million - it will be absolutely, according to our forecasts, sufficient by the end of the current year", said the Prime Minister at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Apart from that, the Government is to calculate necessary funding for next year, "to guarantee that each Ukrainian citizen in need of free drugs gets them", assured the Prime Minister.
