On May 8-9, 2017, in Israel were held celebrations to honor the winners over nazism in World War II and to mark the 72^nd anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

To honor the memory of those killed in the struggle against nazism Ambassador of Ukraine in Israel Hennadii Nadolenko took part in a solemn procession and a concert organized by the Municipality of Jerusalem and the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption of Israel on the occasion of Victory over nazism in the Second World War.

Ambassador Hennadii Nadolenko also took part in the ceremony of laying wreaths from the diplomatic corps of the host country and the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel to the Memorial to the Jewish soldiers and partisans. This ceremony which took place at the World Holocaust Remembrance Center "Yad Vashem" was also attended by representatives of the Knesset of Israel, veterans and public organizations and the diplomatic corps of the countries of anti-Hitler coalition.

The staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel participated in ceremonies to mark Victory over the nazism in the Second World War and wreath laying ceremonies, which took place in different cities of Israel.
