  • Ukraine sees raise of social standards - pensions grow for 8.2 mln seniors

    In Ukraine, starting 1 May due to the increase of the subsistence minimum up to UAH 1312 there have been recalculated pension payments. According to the statement of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, among those payments are: the minimum pension and seniority increment, minimum pension payments, state social assistance for care of disabled war veterans, payments for war veterans and their families, payments for the victims of Nazi persecution, pensions for special services to Ukraine, increment to donors.

    The recalculation has been conducted in automatic mode. Pensioners do not need to appeal to bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. "An increase as a result of the recalculation has affected more than 8.2 million seniors. The amount of the increase is individual for each person. New pension payments have been provided by financial resource and will be paid starting 4-th date of each month according to the specified dates of payment, taking into account holidays and weekends", reads the statement of the Pension Fund.

    Commenting on the decision, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman noted: "Ukraine sees improvement of social standards. This increase will cover 8.2 million pensioners. Ahead is updating pension payments!"
