Ukraine has ensured timely preparation and is ready to host at a high level the Eurovision-2017 song contest, as was promised by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman. The Head of Government said during a meeting with journalists at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv after examining the state of preparedness for the competition.

"There is good news: Ukraine is absolutely ready to host the Eurovision. I remember how it all began - with the victory of Jamala at the Eurovision. Then someone said that Ukraine would fail to gear up timely. I promised that we would prepare, and today you can see that everything necessary for the preparation to the Eurovision in Ukraine has been fulfilled: we have a nice hall, the stage, a great team that have been working all the time to meet deadlines. I can tell you that it was extremely difficult, but we were working daily for this day to come and a huge event for our country to take place", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister thanked the team comprising Government members, Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, concerned services, international partners who have made it possible to ensure high level of the preparation process. Moreover, he added that Kyiv city authorities fulfilled all the tasks on the agenda for organizing the event in the timely manner.

Now Ukraine fully complies with the schedule of preparatory activities to start the competition, said the Head of Government.

"I congratulate all of you on the fact that we have once again coped with this difficult task, and it’s obvious we have prepared well", emphasized Volodymyr Groysman, adding our international partners also assess the level of preparedness of Ukraine as extremely high.

The Prime Minister noted that the allocated funding had been used efficiently, however this didn’t worsen the quality of the process and the result.

"For us it is of great importance to host this event at a high level. Given that we made efficient use of resources, we can see thoroughly conducted work regarding infrastructure for the competition. This event is for the benefit of the entire Ukraine, for the promotion of our beautiful country, and we have invested resources in it", underscored Volodymyr Groysman.
