The Government in the course the civil service reform is eager to consider necessary legislative amendments seek to enhance the independence of the civil service and to reduce political influence on abovementioned service. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the conference "Current state and prospects of public administration reform in Ukraine".

"Our Government made every effort to develop a system free from any influence as well as to ensure this system would allow to provide high quality public services and to trigger efficient state mechanism," stressed the Prime Minister.

According to him, both a political component which existed in the structure of civil service and a possibility to dismiss employees not on professional grounds have led to institutional weaknesses in the country.
