The Government of Ukraine praises a positive decision of the International Monetary Fund to prolong cooperation with Ukraine, a new USD 1 billion disbursement to Ukraine as well as promulgation of the new Memorandum concerning the reform blueprint for the next months, in spite of it an external credit support should be impermanent for the economy. This was stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on air of the 112 television channel.

The Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that the loan tranche worth USD 1 billion shall be used to increase the reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine as well as to provide an opportunity to lift restrictions on foreign exchange transactions, to strengthen the exchange rate and to maintain macroeconomic stability.

The Head of the Government reminded that Ukraine expects to receive a macro-financial assistance from the European Union in the amount of EUR 600 million in accordance with the reached agreements during the visit of the Prime Minister to Brussels in February this year. “These resources will fill the budget”, summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
