  • Prime Minister hopes for adoption of bill On Financial Investigations Service in near future

    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman hopes for adoption in the near future of the elaborated by the Ministry of Finance and approved by the Government draft law on Financial Investigations Service – the authority designed as an analytical body and called to replace the existing economic bodies of security agencies. The Head of Government said during a meeting with participation of President of Ukraine, heads of major business associations and Business Ombudsman. The event was dedicated to the launch in Ukraine of a single electronic register of VAT refunds.

    "It's crucial for us to prolong the SFS reform and proceed to establishment of the modern Financial Investigation Service. I think that the line Committee [on Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine] together with the Ministry of Finance will finalize the bill and any time soon we will complete the process [of launching of the Financial Investigation Service]", said Volodymyr Groysman.

    He stressed that the Service would become part of positive transformations in the country and improve the business environment.
