Gov't allots UAH 100 mn for restoration activities in Balaklia that suffered damages caused by fire at the military depot
The Cabinet
of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision on the allocation of funding to clear
the territory in the town of Balaklia and the nearby
settlements of Kharkiv region of unexploded objects.
Commenting
on the need to approve the decision, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman reminded that
on March 23 along with Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction,
Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko had visited the town of Balaklia
in Kharkiv region, where at the territory of a
military munition depot of the Ministry of Defence there had occurred blasts of ammunition, and temporary
accommodation point for the evacuated citizens, where he talked with residents.
"I had
promised the residents of Balaklia that we would not
leave them alone”, said Volodymyr Groysman.
“Today all the decisions have been prepared and we will now approve UAH 100
million for the residents – the first assistance - to carry out restoration
work affected by destructions as a result of explosions at the military depot".
"The
promise is being fulfilled", stressed the Prime Minister.
