The
governments of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova in the framework of the
summit of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development GUAM, which
is taking place for the first time at the level of Heads of Governments in Kyiv
at the initiative of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman signed the Protocol on approval of the
Procedure of establishment and activity of the Working Body coordinating the
actions of Contracting Parties to the Agreement on the establishment of free
trade between the GUAM member states, dated 20 July 2002, and the Protocol
between customs administrations of the States of GUAM member states on the
mutual recognition of certain results of customs control of goods and means of
transport moving across the state borders of GUAM member states.
The
documents were signed in the presence of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Prime
Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili,
Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Pavel Filip and Deputy Prime Minister
of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ismet Dursun oglu Abasov.
"It is
important that today we have inked a number of documents that will allow us in
2017 to fully introduce the free trade area within the limits of our States.
This will positively affect the development of our national economies, deepen
our cooperation", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
"These
documents are a bold move to enhance our economic partnership", stressed
the Head of Ukrainian Government.
He also
noted that the Protocol between customs administrations of the GUAM
participants on the mutual recognition of certain results of customs control
procedures regarding goods and vehicles transported across the state borders of
GUAM member states, shall simplify customs procedures
and ensure efficiency in the introduction of a free trade area among the
States.
"I consider this Protocol a good step,
when we mutually recognize all the customs procedure of our countries. This
will improve and speed up our cooperation process", summed up the Prime Minister.
