Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman counts on Government, Parliament as well as National Reform Council to demonstrate synergy and adopt the decision on setting up the Financial Investigations Service within a few month. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Friday.

He noted that the Government at its session on March 22 had preliminary considered, adopted and submitted to the National Reform Council the bill on the establishment of the Financial Investigations Service, developed by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

“We hope that we will shortly be able to consider and adopt a final decision at the National Reform Council meeting and aftermath to submit it to the Parliament“, stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister added the Government is eager to combine its suggestions with the initiatives of the Parliament concerning the aforesaid issue.

“It is crucial to liquidate the former OBKhSS (Department Against Misappropriation of Socialist Property) –these include the economic division of the National police as well as to eliminate the economic division within the Security Service of Ukraine as these are not their functions, it’s important to complete elimination of the tax police and to create a single professional Financial Investigation Service. I mean to replace these 3-4 authorities with one effective, professional service. We expect to agree on this issue in the near feature. I have already initiated this topic and aftermath we will be able to adopt a relevant decision. I prefer this issue would be solved within several months”, underscored the Prime Minister
