Today, March 23, at 2:45 a.m., the fire started at armament storage base near Balakliia, Kharkiv region. All measures are taken to localize and suppress the fire at the site. The fire reasons are being investigated. An emergency HQ was deployed.

At 5 a.m. a commission led by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Lt. Gen. Ihor Pavlovskyi was working at the site.

According to the preliminary conclusions of experts a sabotage attack was the reason of the fire at the armament storage base in Balakliia.

The fire resulted in detonation of tank and artillery munitions.

All measures are taken to localize the fire and prevent victims among local population. The MoD commission led by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine is working at the site of the accident.
