Government fulfilled the promise to the families of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and allocated funding for the purchase of a firearms examination microscope
In execution of an appeal of members of
families of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes the Cabinet of Ministers of
Ukraine has allocated UAH 5.8 million for the
purchase of a microscope for Kyiv Research Institute of
Forensic Expertise to conduct firearms examinations.
At its meeting on Friday, the
Government adopted a decree "On the allocation of funds to
purchase a comparison microscope for forensic expertise", which provides for the allotting to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine
the sum worth UAH 5.8 million from the Reserve Fund of the State
budget for the purchase for Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Expertise a comparison microscope for forensic expertise, including
ballistic.
The approval of this decision was the
result of the meeting of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman with the families of the Heroes
of the Heavenly
Hundred with participation of President of Ukraine
Petro Poroshenko on February
20.
"They
appealed to the Government, to me personally, so that we would allocate funding
for the purchase of this equipment. I promised them then that we would resolve
this issue within a month. Now to fulfill this promise there is a corresponding
decision elaborated by the Ministry of Economic Development that stipulates for
the allocation of relevant financial resource", explained Volodymyr
Groysman.
The Prime
Minister instructed line Ministers to personally control the signing and
implementation of this decision as soon as possible.
