The
Government urges there should be conducted objective, open and effectual
investigation regarding the Chairman of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine
Volodymyr Groysman at a Government session on Friday.
"We,
as a Government, will back up the entirely unprejudiced, open and effective
investigation. If a person is guilty, then he has to be punished, if he is not
guilty, then he has to be acquitted. Here only a question of time and
efficiency of investigative actions, underlined Volodymyr Groysman.
The Head of
the Government noted that detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of
Ukraine (NABU) carried out certain investigative actions into the Chairman of
the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov
yesterday.
Therefore,
the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine had submitted a proposal for the suspension of
duties of the Chairman of the State Fiscal Service pending investigation "with
the aim to provide a totally objective and unbiased investigation of the facts
that may be revealed during the investigation," emphasized the Prime
Minister.
"Systemic
work of the State Fiscal Service should not suffer from this, there must be
prompt decisions. It is a clear fact that the State Fiscal Service is to
continue working. Following the end of the official investigation into the
activities of the Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine there would
be results and outcomes, summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
