On March 2, 2017 Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Sigmar Gabriel, who is currently on a working visit to Ukraine.

During the talks the sides focused mainly on joint actions aimed at deescalation of the situation in Donbass. Pavlo Klimkin underscored the necessity of increasing pressure on Russia in order to force the Kremlin stop its deliberate policy of violating the Minsk agreements.

Within the celebrations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Federal Republic of Germany Foreign Ministers franked a stamp in honor of Ukrainian-German friendship.
