The Government has elaborated and is implementing a number of programs of compensation for the purchase of domestic agricultural equipment and support for agricultural production in Ukraine in order to substantially increase the share of domestic equipment in the Ukrainian market. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during the exhibition of agricultural machinery Agro Animal Show 2017/ Grain Tech Expo 2017. Fruit. Vegetables. Logistics 2017 on Friday.

"The Government has made a decision and it was then approved by the Parliament: the sum worth UAH 550 million this year we allocated to recompense 15% of the value of agricultural machinery produced in Ukraine and have maximum localization, that is, not less than 60% of the spare parts are assembled in Ukraine. This means that only due this program there will be created thousands, dozens thousands jobs. Our objective is to double down the share of equipment of Ukrainian origin in the domestic market", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

The allotted under the programme sum worth UAH 550 million will be compensated to the customer, instead of manufacturer, so that he could chose the manufacturer from whom to procure necessary equipment.

 "Here we preserve transparency, the right of choice of a buyer. The only requirement is this equipment should be produced in Ukraine. Not just to add the wheels, but to produce all the spare parts of this machine", urged Volodymyr Groysman.

Next year the Government plans to allot to the program about UAH 1 billion, he said.

In addition, nearly UAH 5 billion is envisaged to support agricultural production of Ukraine. The Cabinet adopted a transparent procedure for the distribution of these resources after consultations with all the associations, noted the Prime Minister.

Currently the total amount Ukrainians spend on the purchase of agricultural machinery of various types makes up about UAH 10 billion. In 2016, out of this amount only UAH 1.5 billion was spent on equipment produced in Ukraine, emphasized the Head of Government.

Agricultural engineering is of great importance for Ukraine capable to trigger development of the national economy, he said. This requires manufacturing of a competitive high-quality product.

As was reported on Friday the Head of Government attended the exhibition Agro Animal Show 2017/ Grain Tech Expo 2017. Fruit. Vegetables. Logistics 2017. He inspected the pavilions with agricultural equipment produced in Ukraine and communicated with manufacturers.
