All dredging tenders will be conducted using Prozorro system. This was stated by Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, during the meeting with leading Ukrainian & International dredging companies on February 3, 2017 AT American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine. Raivis Veckagans, Acting CEO of SE “USPA” also attended the meeting.

“All dredging tenders will be conducted using Prozorro system, in an appropriate order, to avoid any hidden programs, any secret proposals and misuse of state money. All companies participating in tenders conducted by USPA have a guarantee of comprehensive and open approach. We will have another meeting with you – comprising leading companies and all involved state bodies, in order to make all regulations for these tenders easy and comfortable for the business. We wish to avoid in future such situations when great world companies are off the list of tender because of strange reasons, like the absence of a seal, signature or another type of document etc.”, Volodymyr Omelyan said.

"We finally have a professional and independent acting CEO of SE “USPA”-Raivis Veckagans. He has a great experience in the EU and the Baltic States. He understands the situation in the maritime industry in Ukraine. And I hope, that he will become the new force, what Ukrainian maritime industry needs ", Volodymyr Omelyan noted.

The new acting CEO of SE “USPA”, in turn, stressed that he will share with Ukraine all his experience and best practices implemented in the European maritime industry: "We can have a dialogue not only in terms of dredging procedures, but also in terms of improvement of work inside the company.  My goal is to give all my experience and best practices existing in the European Maritime industry. I want to emphasize that we will try to build in all segments (these include regulation, document procedures, corporatization) best practices of the European Union".
