Government engages in solving problem of use of gas distribution systems

A working group led by Vice-Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion agreed on a draft resolution, which was designed with an aim to approve a sample and standard contracts of commercial use of distribution systems, and contains the terms and a list of tools to calculate the cost of using the GDS.

"The issue of paid use of the gas distribution systems for quite a long time was being discussed and we were searching for the right solution. Before we had engaged in relevant debate, and now we have managed to find and agree on the correct format to solve this problem", said Volodymyr Kistion during a meeting of the working group.

He reminded that the Cabinet of Ministers had elaborated and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill providing legal grounds for paid use of gas distribution system under public ownership. The bill was registered under No. 5558.

"Changes to the legislation were prepared, they underwent a procedure in accordance with the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers. The bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada. I have information that scientific- and-expert department made a positive conclusion on this project", noted the Vice Prime Minister and called on the MPs to support this draft law.

On the results of the meeting the working group approved a draft resolution, thereby providing an opportunity to solve the problem of paid use of gas distribution networks both before the aforesaid act approved, and in the long term – in case the law is adopted and enters into force.

Volodymyr Kistion commissioned the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in a week’s term to prepare and agree a draft resolution for consideration at a Government’s meeting.
