Vice Prime Minister chaired a regular meeting to tackle energy security issues
Today, Vice Prime Minister
Volodymyr Kistion held a regular meeting to discuss
settlement of problematic issues in the unified energy system of Ukraine. The
meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Coal
Industry of Ukraine, energy generating companies, PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, etc. The
participants of the event discussed the situation with energy supplies during
the ongoing autumn-winter period, coal reserves, operation
of power generating companies.
Volodymyr Kistion noted that the heating season is stable, and stressed the need to ensure that in storages of thermal power plants the quantity of coal remained not less than the minimum fixed limit, which should be 1.9-2 million tons. Separately, the Prime Minister drew attention to the need to replenish coal reserves at Ladyzhynska TPP.
Apart from that, the Vice Prime Minister commissioned the leadership of "Centrenergo" to accelerate the preparation of the financial plan for 2017.
