Situation Update, east of Ukraine as of morning, January 16, 2017
According to
the press centre of the
‘anti-terror’ operation
(ATO) HQ, the enemy has violated the
ceasefire for 60 times over the
past 24 hours. One Ukrainian soldier
was wounded.
The Russian
occupational troops used 122 mm artillery
against Hnutove, mortars against Pavlopil, Krasnohorivka and Shyrokyne, grenade launchers, heavy machineguns and small arms
against Pavlopil, Hnutove, Shyrokyne, and Krasnohorivka. An enemy’s sniper
targeted the Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne and Marinka.
Militants fired
120 mm and 82 mm mortars on
Novozvanivka and Troitske, grenade launchers and small
arms on Novozvanivka,
anti-tank missile systems on Zolote,
Stanytsya Luhanska, and Novooleksandrivka.
Occupants shelled
Avdiivka with 152 mm artillery, Novhorodske,
Dolomitne with mortars, Zaitseve, Novhorodske, Avdiivka, and Verkhniotoretske with grenade launchers,
heavy machineguns and small arms.
