The Government will continue to
create favorable conditions for business in Ukraine and to expand the
possibilities of cooperation with Hungary to contribute to the success of both
countries. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during
the opening of Ukrainian-Hungarian business forum with participation of Prime
Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban in Debrecen on
Friday.
"We are interested in success
of business that comes to work in Ukraine. This is the main goal. We want you to
be successful, your investments to be successful. It will mean that Ukraine
will continue to develop," the Head of the Government said, addressing the
representatives of the Hungarian business.
Ukraine and Hungary have good
prospects for cooperation in various spheres, the Prime Minister stressed. He
added that over the past 9 months there had been observed an increase in
bilateral international trade.
Volodymyr Groysman emphasized that
Ukraine and Hungary have sufficient competence, knowledge and capabilities, and
bringing them together the countries can become even more successful. The
opening of the Ukrainian-Hungarian business forum is one of the biggest
meetings of business circles of both countries.
He noted that following the meeting
with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban
agreements were signed the day before on "infrastructure convergence"
of the countries and the implementation of a number of projects for the
construction of roads, bridges and development of border areas.
It was also agreed to create a group
and a clear calendar plan of action for the implementation of projects.
Volodymyr Groysman noted that for
the last three years Ukraine had faced serious challenges and "it was
undergoing the greatest transformation in the history of its independence".
“However, Ukraine is changing and pursuing reforms".
The Government continues to carry
out the necessary changes, and one of its main tasks is to provide convenient
conditions for business development in Ukraine. Thus, the Investment Support Office
has been set up. At its recent meeting, the Government abolished 367
regulations that hindered business development. Today the Ukrainian economy is
showing growth and recovery: during the III quarter of 2016, the country's GDP
grew by 1.8.
"I want to assure you that we
will go further. We will protect the real economy, we will protect those who
work in it, and we will create normal conditions for you to be successful. You
will be successful – Ukraine will be successful, hence Hungary will be
successful", Volodymyr Groysman said.
In turn, Prime
Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban in his statement at
the business forum stressed on the prospects of bilateral cooperation of
Ukraine and Hungary.
"I want to encourage Ukrainian
and Hungarian entrepreneurs to make attempts and search for partners to develop
their businesses and realize their visions", the Head of the Hungarian
Government said.
