Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko paid tribute to the victims of the Holodomors in Ukraine.

The Head of the Government together with other officials moved in a mourning procession from the Memorial to the Holodomor in Ukraine. During the ceremony there was pronounced a prayer, then declared a nationwide minute of silence and started the all-Ukrainian action "Light the candle!"

Volodymyr Groysman placed to the sculpture "Sad Memory of Childhood" a symbolic composition of grain and lit the icon lamp near the monument the Candle of Memory.

The ceremonies were also attended by members of the Ukrainian Government, MPs of Ukraine, representatives of diplomatic corps, public organizations and religious leaders.
