Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak held talks with a delegation of Independent Defence Anti-Corruption Committee (NAKO) on December 19.
The parties discussed possible ways of anti-corruption cooperation.
The head of defence ministry underlined his commitment to fight corruption and achieve the final goal — to root it out.
The parties also stressed the importance of finding the corruption source and working out the effective mechanisms to prevent it in the future.
The NAKO representatives will start to analyse an agreed area of the defence ministry and elaborate a mechanism of prevention corruption in it.
NAKO is a joint initiative of Transparency International UK and Transparency International Ukraine as supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
